This website was created
and is continuously updated
by the

International Environmental Policy Division

of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung.

Our division deals with the big environmental problems today:

Climate change
The loss of plants and animals
and plastic pollution

To better protect the environment:
We believe we must change how society operates.

This includes

  • Stopping the use of coal, oil, and gas quickly
  • The way we exploit nature and people
  • Being more careful and critical concerning new technologies.

What we offer

Our info-hub shares information and resources.
These can be:

Publications, websites, videos, and podcasts

On various topics such as:

  • Lifestyle
We live on a throw-away lifestyle, and plastic made it possible.

  • Health
Toxic substances are released into the air and water.
    That can make people ill.

  • Gender
The different impact of plastics on women and men.

  • Oceans
About what plastic pollution is doing to our ocean.

We address these resources to people fighting the global plastic problem

This includes:

  • activists,
  • campaigners,
  • students,
  • teachers,
  • groups,
  • organizations,
  • networks,
  • and individuals.

To fix the plastic crisis, we need to stop its source.
We see the plastic industry as the source of the manifold problems.
Because it makes more plastic from oil and gas to increase profits.
